1st step to a new Walgreens
Heavy equipment spent the last couple of weeks tearing down the old satellite building that once housed Furr’s Cafeteria at the west side of the Uintah Gardens shopping center. The demolition, which is now complete, will allow Walgreens to build a new free-standing store on that spot. The current 12,000-square-foot store, currently part of a line at the north end of the center, has been at Uintah Gardens since 1974. The new, 14,560-square-foot store will include a drive-through feature, according to Walgreens officials.
