Biz buzz:
Relocation, grand opening, artist call

Copy One, an independently owned copying service, is relocating on the Westside.
Formerly at the Westside Plaza in the 1900 block of Uintah Street, the business will open at its new site, 1507 W. Colorado Ave., Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Owner Tom Barton started Copy One in 1996 on Garden of the Gods Road. The manager, also since '96, is Reva Miezwa.
The new location will have parking in front and back, Miezwa said. The business is buying the building.
Services include copying, faxing, notary and color copies.
       The phone is 533-0982.

The Spicy Pickle, a sandwich shop, will have a grand opening Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 1466 W. Garden of the Gods Rd., Suite 148
Part of a Denver-based chain, the restaurant will be the first in Colorado Springs, according to John Volmert, the local owner-franchisee.
The Spicy Pickle will specialize in sandwiches, paninis and salads, he said.
The business will be open Monday through Saturday. The phone is 388-9474.

A call for artists is going out from the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) merchants group.
The hope is to attract “artists in all mediums” to add creative touches to the third annual Art on the Avenue Saturday, Sept. 22 during Scarecrow Days, according to OCCA events coordinator Nancy Stovall.
The seven-hour Art on the Avenue will be in conjunction with the OCCA's 11th annual Scarecrow Days, which includes a scarecrow-design contest, and other activities in September and October.
