Police Blotter:
Arrests in 30th & Bijou stabbing

Colorado Springs Police detectives have arrested three people in connection with the Westside stabbing death of 18-year-old Nathaniel Hughes Aug. 20.
A charge of first-degree murder has been brought against Nathan Logsdon, 23; and charges of accessory to first degree murder against Karin Atkinson, 34, and an unnamed 15-year-old boy.
Hughes, who had attended Westside schools, was stabbed in the neck at the Westwood Village Apart-ments, 3022 W. Bijou St., and died in a hospital.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 444-7558, or they may remain anonymous and contact Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP (7867).
A 52-year-old Westside woman was taken into custody after a roughly six-hour police standoff outside a trailer home in the 2400 block of Busch Avenue Aug. 25.
She was charged with a misdemeanor for not obeying police commands to come outside.
Her parents told police their daughter had a history of mental illness, according to the Colorado Springs Police Blotter report.
Police had been called to the site shortly before 10 a.m. to check on the woman's welfare. After going inside and finding her with a gun, police waited several hours, trying to talk her into coming out on her own, the report states. When she didn't, tear gas was used.
