Meet County Parks staff, friends groups at Bear Creek Nature Center Sept. 13

Aug. 29, 2018
El Paso County Parks staff and volunteers for the Bear Creek Nature Center will be on hand Thursday, Sept. 13 to meet the public at a free event in a county government series titled Parties for Parks.
The time frame will be 6 to 8 p.m. The center is at 245 Bear Creek Road.
The get-together will let people “meet the dedicated friends groups and staff," provide “food, drinks and fun” and reveal “what's new in your local parks,” a flyer states.
The event is one of four Parties for Parks scheduled in August and September at locations around the county.
For more information, go to elpasocountyparks.com, call County Parks staffer Dana Nordstrom at 520-6983 or e-mail her at dananordstrom@elpasoco.com .
The major County Parks facilities on the Westside are Bear Creek Regional Park and the Dog Park (both off South 21st Street), as well as the Nature Center.
The center's regular hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
