New Horizons welcomes experienced and beginning musicians as 14th season starts

Musicians are welcome to join the New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs, with the offering for the coming semester including a beginners class.
Led by Ingri Fowler, the new group will meet Monday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. at First Evangelical Free Church, 820 N. 30th St.
This is the 14th year for New Horizons, a nonprofit organization founded by Ed and Mary Nuccio, consisting of various musical groups that perform around the city.
A “meet and greet” for interested musicians will be at First Evangelical Thursday, Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. and also at the Cañon School, 1201 W. Cheyenne Road at 7 p.m. At both, live music will be performed by current band members and refreshments will be served, according to a press release.
Ed Nuccio is the former band instructor at Cheyenne Mountain High School in District 12.
