New Horizons welcomes experienced and beginning musicians as 14th season startsMusicians are welcome to join the New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs, with the offering for the coming semester including a beginners class.
Led by Ingri Fowler, the new group will meet Monday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. at First Evangelical Free Church, 820 N. 30th St.
This is the 14th year for New Horizons, a nonprofit organization founded by Ed and Mary Nuccio, consisting of various musical groups that perform around the city.
A “meet and greet” for interested musicians will be at First Evangelical Thursday, Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. and also at the Cañon School, 1201 W. Cheyenne Road at 7 p.m. At both, live music will be performed by current band members and refreshments will be served, according to a press release.
Ed Nuccio is the former band instructor at Cheyenne Mountain High School in District 12.
