Boutique/gallery opens at 26th Street and Colorado Avenue

The storefront at 2532 W. Colorado Ave., the home of Mountain Moppets for over a quarter-century, is sporting a new business.
Febra's, a boutique and gallery owned by the wife-husband team of Febra and Dave Pope, recently opened in the location, which is at the northeast corner of Colorado and 26th Street.
The space came available when Mountain Moppets, a children's clothing store owned by Tracey Owens since 2007, moved next door, into the vacant storefront at 2530B W. Colorado Ave.
The Popes have lived in Colorado Springs since 1991, moving here from Arkansas. Both have experience in business ownership, Febra in retail and Dave in fire protection.
Febra's showcases 17 local artists, along with ladies' fashions and accessories, jewelry and gifts.
       The business is open daily.
“The couple loves the feel of Old Colorado City,” a press release states. “The sense of community in OCC is like taking a step back in time as the shop owners and locals come together to support each other.”
The phone is 635-4466, e-mail febra@shopfebras.com, and the website (as of Aug. 29) is shopfebras.com.
