Library seeks materials from ‘30s

The Pikes Peak Library District is requesting temporary donations of 1930s memorabilia from area residents to use in library displays this fall during the All Pikes Peak Reads project.
This year's APPR book selections are “The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinbeck and “The Worst Hard Time” by Timothy Egan.
Residents with items from the '30s, such as letters and photographs, are invited to share their collections.
All Pikes Peak Reads is an annual community-wide initiative to encourage everyone to read and to discuss the same books.
People are asked to contact the library by Friday, Aug. 22. The phone for the Old Colorado City branch is 634-1698.
