Police catch fugitive in condemned house
Police closed off part of West Colorado Avenue for about an hour Aug. 13 to arrest a fugitive hiding in a condemned house.
Tear gas had to be used to get Sean Lagoe, 36, out of the attic at 1705 W. Colorado Ave., but he was unarmed and no one was hurt or threatened in the incident, according to Lt. David Whitlock of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Lagoe had jumped bond. He faces charges of felony theft and a number of misdemeanors. A new misdemeanor charge of failing to comply with a police order will be added to the others, Whitlock said.
