1-day, 1,000-foot waterslide to be set up on South 21st Street near Argus

       A 1,000-foot-long water slide will be laid out for riders along 21st Street Aug. 15, according to plans announced by the national Slide the City organization, in conjunction with the local UpaDowna nonprofit group. The event starts at 9 a.m. and will continue till 7 p.m. The event will cause a full closure on 21st between Lower Gold Camp Road and Argus Boulevard.
       Riders need to use an inflatable tube (bring their own or buy one at the event).
       The cost is $37 to $45 (plus fees), depending on how far in advance a person signs up, according to current website information.
