Where do you work and what is your title?
Iím the cook and co-owner of Cafe Molina Restaurant.
What do you do there and/or what are you responsible for?
I cook, and Iím responsible for receiving all inventory and keeping everything prepped and under health regulations.
How long have you been doing this kind of work (total)? How long on the Westside?
26 years, off and on, and only 1 1/2 months here on the Westside.
What do you like best about it (other than quitting time)?
Being my own boss.
If you could change one thing (other than pay), what would it be?
Less hassle to get everything started, such as finding a location and getting all the necessary permits.
What part of your work did your training/education never prepare you for?
Patience. Starting a new business and waiting on it to grow. Iím good at what I do and I know itís just a matter of time for everyone to find out how great our food is.
What makes working on the Westside special?
Iíve always felt comfortable being close to the mountains and the people are cool, too.
