Indian dancers, art show at Rock Ledge Ranch

       Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site will host two events in the next two weeks - a performance by the Northern and Southern Plains Indian Dancers and Singers Sunday, Aug. 5; and a multimedia art exhibition Aug. Friday through Sunday, Aug. 10- 12.
       The Indian dance group includes members from the Kiowa, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Lakota, Ute, and Navajo nations. They have performed in Denver, Longmont and other venues throughout the Southwest, according to Cheryl Catalano, lead interpreter for Rock Ledge.
       The art exhibition will show Rock Ledge Ranch and Garden of the Gods scenes.
       More than 40 national and international artists will be represented, including Westsiders Deb Komitor and Laura Reilly. Media will be paintings, sculptures and photography, according to ranch information.
       The juried show (which is also a sale) will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with a special “Best of Show” award reception August 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the ranch's Carriage House.
