Meet a Westsider:
Sandy Fitzpatrick

Profession/Occupation... Hairstylist/make-up artist.

What I like most about the Westside is... it’s the best side of town, but the stores are not affordable for the locals and some are not as friendly as they used to be.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to bring back some of the original stores like the butcher’s, the drugstore and the fabric store. I miss Roger’s Bar and Schoch’s Hardware Store.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Brotherhood of the Wolf.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... not to open a second-hand store in Old Colorado City.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... John Travolta.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... New York City.

My favorite childhood memory is... playing my accordion at the cemetery in Germany for the graves with no flowers and getting my girlfriends involved planting flowers.

My favorite summer pastime is... exploring all the natural hot springs of Colorado.

Something good I’ve read is.. “The Five People You Meet in Heaven,” by Mitch Albom.

My pet peeve is... traffic and the lack of good bus service; it could use improvement.

If I won the lottery, I’d... open that second-hand store in Old Colorado City!
