What do you do? ....
Bill Niehus

Where do you work and what is your title?
Wells Fargo – reverse mortgage specialist.
What do you do there and/or what are you responsible for?
I provide information regarding the government insured Reverse Mortgage Program, and assist seniors 62 years old and older benefit from this program.
How long have you been doing this kind of work (total)? How long on the Westside?
Seven years. I have worked throughout the city, and visit seniors at their homes on their request. We also have two Wells Fargo locations on the Westside.
What do you like best about it (other than quitting time)?
Helping seniors explore different options available to them regarding their financial needs. Many seniors are not aware that their home is an important source for potential income.
If you could change one thing (other than pay), what would it be?
Helpful information for seniors should be more readily available. Many seniors are not aware of the many options available for their financial and medical needs.
What part of your work did your training/education never prepare you for?
The variety of needs and diverse situations that our seniors need to contend with.
What makes working on the Westside special?
The unique history of the area, and the strong feeling of community.
