Holland Park to hold annual meeting, BBQ

The Holland Park Community Association will hold its annual neighborhood meeting Thursday, July 17 from 7 to about 8 p.m. and the “Summer BBQ Bash”
Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Both will be at the Springs City Church, 1250 Vondelpark Drive. According to association President Philip McGrath, the meeting agenda will include a neighborhood Watch presentation and discussion of current issues, including a recent fire, the trail construction and the planned traffic calming project For the barbecue, there will be food (though side dishes are welcome), inflatable jumpers and other children's activities. Membership in the association is $10 a year. The group provides advocacy for the 1,200-home Holland Park neighborhood, whose basic borders are Chestnut Street, Garden of the Gods Road, both sides of Centennial Boulevard and the mostly open area between the houses and Fillmore Street.
