Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo July 13-16 at Norris-Penrose Event Center

       The 76th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is slated Wednesday to Saturday, July 13-16 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road.
       Competition times each night are at 7 p.m., plus a Saturday matinee performance at 1 p.m. The Saturday night finale will decide the champion(s) in each event.
       All the events will occur inside the Norris-Penrose complex's outdoor Penrose Stadium.
       The listed events are steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and women's barrel racing.
       Activities outside the stadium will start about three hours beforehand, including mutton bustin' (a sheep ride for kids), mechanical bull riding, pony rides and western-style dinner (extra cost).
       Ticket prices for the rodeo range from $18 to $50, with some discounts.
