21st paving segment completed

After being closed for two days, a freshly paved 21st Street reopened to traffic June 25 between Colorado and Pikes Peak avenues.
A City Streets official said that striping (handled by a different city department) should occur within the next 10 days.
The 21st Street work is among several projects this year using city and Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (RTA) funds. The work started last spring with curb and gutter repairs, allowing the current street overlays.
Other overlay projects in different stages on the Westside this week were as follows:
Limit Street, from Bijou Street to Colorado Avenue.
Talley Circle, from Limit Street to End West.
22nd Street, from Uintah Street to Colorado Avenue.
Praderia Avenue, from Limit Street to Manitou Boulevard.
Spring Street, from 15th Street to its dead end north.
Helena Lane, from Bijou Street to its dead end south.
Hill Street, from Seventh Street to its dead end west.
