New owner of long-time nut and fruit shop in Old Colorado City

Robert Lantzy recently became the owner of the Mountain Man Nut & Fruit Co.
The 16-year Old Colorado City snack shop is located at 2616 W. Colorado Ave., #9, in the Old Colorado Square commercial center (which includes Jake & Telly's restaurant).
Lantzy bought the business from Theresa Barbera, who had owned the Old Colorado City franchise since 1998. He also has experience in sports equipment sales. Asked why he decided to take on Mountain Man, he said it provides an “opportunity in a great part of Colorado Springs, with nice neighbors.”
The shop offers natural and roasted nuts, dried fruit, trail mixes and snack mixes, homemade chocolates, jerky, salt water taffy and a wide range of candy. Non-edibles include stuffed animals, cards and wood carvings.
       Mountain Man is open daily.
