City Streets plans night work to fix potholes on 30th south of GoG Road

Late-night pothole repairs are slated to begin Monday, June 15 on 30th Street between Garden of the Gods Road and Gateway Road.
A press release from the City Street Division states that the operation will be “night work beginning at 12 a.m.” The time frame, at least initially, is through June 19.
The release adds that the work could mean traffic being shifted to one lane.
A well-traveled two-lane road, 30th Street is a key arterial between the Westside and northern Colorado Springs, providing a scenic, stop-sign-free access just east of the Garden of the Gods City Park.
The roughly 1˝-mile segment of the road targeted for the City Streets work is like many in the area, with an asphalt surface that has been heavily potholed as a result of the frequent rains this spring.
Gateway Road is an access road into the Garden off 30th, opposite the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center.
