Westside schools:
Bristol, Washington registration at D-11 through June 15

       With major construction at Bristol and Washington elementaries this summer, registration at those schools for the 2007-2008 school year is being offered until June 15 at the District 11 administration building, 1115 N. El Paso Street, Room 117. The times are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parents/ guardians should bring copies of birth certificates, immunization records, Social Security cards and proof of residency.
       Registration for all other elementary and middle schools will be from July 2 to 31 at the same location.
       District 11 high school students can register at their respective high schools during the summer months. The Westside's D-11 high school is Coronado, at 1590 W. Fillmore St.
       The first day of school in District 11 is Aug. 16

       School District 11 has begun offering its annual summer food service program, including two locations on the Westside. The program provides free breakfast and lunch from District 11 Food and Nutrition Services.
       According to a district press release, “Children who aren't hungry learn better, act better and feel better.”
       The following are the sites:
       Pike Elementary, 2510 N. Chestnut St. - May 29-July 27 (breakfast 8-8:30 a.m., lunch 11-11:30 a.m.).
       Boys & Girls Club - El Pomar Branch, 805 Praderia Ave. - June 4 - Aug. 1 (breakfast 7:30-8 a.m., lunch 11:45-12:15 p.m.).
