22nd annual Starlight Spectacular to fill streets with wee-hours cyclists June 18

The 22nd annual Starlight Spectacular cycling event will be Saturday, June 18, starting at 10:30 p.m. from the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, 1805 N. 30th St.
The non-competitive nighttime ride offers loops of 16 to 24 miles on designated streets, including West Colorado Avenue and a few inside the Garden of the Gods, before finishing back at the Visitor Center.
The event is a fundraiser for the Westside-based Trails and Open Space Coalition, a nonprofit advocacy group in the Pikes Peak region since 1987. Close to 1,500 riders are expected to participate.
The cost is $47 a person (with discounts for children, seniors, families or military). This includes pre-ride pizza and activities and a breakfast afterward at the center.
People can also sign up the night of the ride.
Activities will start at 9 p.m., including a live band and a costume contest. For more information, call 633-6884 or go to starlightspectacular.org.
