Neighborhood meeting at Fire Station 3
Colorado Springs Fire Station 3 firefighters will hold a neighborhood meeting Wednesday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Led by Capt. Ray Johnson, the goal is to provide an overview of station responsibilities and firefighters' role in the community and to answer questions related to fire, medical and rescue services, a press release from Cathy Prudhomme of the Fire Department states.
The station is at 922 W. Colorado Ave.
The session is expected to last about one hour. No special fire/medical demonstrations are planned.
Visitors can request a tour after the meeting, if they like, Prudhomme said.
“The neighborhood meeting is part of the department's public outreach campaign and is focused on proactively providing adults in the community with fire and life safety information that can reduce injuries and fatalities, and lessen potential property loss,” her release states.
Fire Station 3 has served the Westside since 1896, and has been located in the current building since 1951.
