Biz Buzz:
Farmers Market returns June 9

In what has become an annual early-June tradition, two outdoor sales events will begin their summer-Saturday stints in Old Colorado City on the same morning.
This year it will be June 9 for the Farmers Market, in the block of 24th Street next to Bancroft Park, which is closed off for the purpose; and the arts and crafts fair (a fundraiser for the Old Colorado City Historical Society) on the grassy strip outside the History Center at 24th and Pikes Peak Avenue. They will both continue to operate on Saturdays through the end of October, according to their respective schedules.
Each Saturday, the market - offering about 25 food vendors from Colorado Springs, Pueblo and other parts of the state - will open for business around 7 a.m., while the fair, with about 10 crafter/artisan booths, will start at 9 a.m. Both will close for each Saturday around 1 p.m.
