Meet a Westsider:
Judy Alexander

Profession/Occupation... Realtor.

What I like most about the Westside is... its eclectic nature.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... add a Whole Foods Market; it's really different from a health food store... it is actually kind of a "happening place."

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Black Irish.” My maiden name is Flanagan and the movie is about the dynamics of a Catholic family growing up in Boston. I saw it at a film festival in Palms Springs, Calif.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... “Listen to the experts.”

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Bette Midler – because she’s an old soul who has a deep connection to who she is. When I hear her sing, it inspires me to keep after the same connection with myself.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Palm Springs, to see my grandchildren.

My favorite childhood memory is... dancing with my sisters in front of our Christmas tree.

My favorite spring pastime is... walking in the Garden of the Gods.

Something good I’ve read is.. “On Turning Ten” – a poem by Billy Collins.

My pet peeve is... political polarization. People being very emotional either on one side or the other on any given political issue and no one listening.

If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off my bills, sock some away, then create a fund to support “Uncle Wilber’s Fountain.”

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
