City OKs Craddock loft plan
Berry Craddock recently received city approval of his development plan for the Old Colorado City Lofts development
(above Meadow Muffins) in the century-old Waycott Building at the northeast corner of West Colorado Avenue and 25th
Craddock's crews have been in the building this spring doing prep work and repairing smoke damage from the next-door fire in December 2002. There will be four living lofts on the top (third) floor, with three working lofts on the second floor. The plan is to have the lofts available for sale or lease this fall.
A renovation from the same fire also has been taking place in the early 1900s building next to the Waycott at 2426-2430 W. Colorado Ave. Two of the three units are available for lease. A photo of the renovated facade appears on Page 6 of this issue of the Westside Pioneer.
Gertrude's restaurant, 2625 W. Colorado Ave., held a special dinner and wine May 24, with profits going to Urban Peak Colorado Springs, which helps homeless/ runaway youth.
