Added attractions at Pikes Peak or Bust

Tickets for the 67th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days have gone on sale.
The event, scheduled at the Norris-Penrose's Center July 11-15, has added “Days” to its name this year because of expanded attractions, according to a press release.
These will be motorcycle daredevils, “Mutton Bustin'” (rodeo-related activities for kids) and expanded bull-riding.
Outside Penrose Stadium will be animals from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Southern Ute Native American Dancers, a Rock Ledge Ranch blacksmith demonstration, tepees set up by the Mountain Men Rendezvous Encampment and carnival rides.
Three purchase locations are on the Westside: Both King Soopers grocery stores and Norris-Penrose. Adult tickets range between $10 and $27.
The rodeo is a sanctioned event by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
Since 1946, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days has donated proceeds to charitable programs and services benefiting local military personnel and their families. For more information go to or call 635-1101.
