King Soopers closes urgent-care at Grandview store, opens larger one at Uintah

An outgrowth of the continuing Uintah Gardens King Soopers interior remodel is the relocation to it of an urgent-care facility that formerly operated inside the Grandview Market Place store (off Centennial and Fillmore).
The Little Clinic, which has a nurse practioner and welcomes drop-in customers, operates in a 700-square-foot space near the pharmacy that was freed up as part of the Uintah Gardens remodel. It is open daily, chiefly in daytime hours.
A recent sign inside the Grandview store states that the clinic relocated May 14 and the Uintah site will be “bigger and better.”
Kelly McGannon, a spokesperson for King Soopers' headquarters in Denver, confirmed that the new one will be “almost double” the size of the Grandview version.
A remodeling started early this year at the Uintah store, located at 1730 W. Uintah St., and is expected to continue through the summer.
The former clinic space at the Grandview King Soopers is to become an employee conference room.
