Ceremonies for students moving up in Westside public schools

With the public school year drawing to a close, ceremonies are taking place to recognize students who have completed milestone years along their educational paths.
On the Westside, Coronado High School will graduate 318 12th-graders; Holmes and West Middle Schools and Academy for Advanced & Creative Learning (Academy ACL) will promote a total of 355 eighth-graders; and six elementaries will move up a total of 256 fifth-graders.
Two of the schools with fifth-graders (Buena Vista and Academy ACL) will not have promotion ceremonies for that grade level. BV, an all-Montessori school, gained District 11 approval to add sixth grade two years ago, so its ceremony will be for those students.
Academy ACL is a K-8 school, so its ceremony will be for eighth grade.
Listed below are the D-11 Westside schools, followed by their student numbers and ceremony dates. All ceremonies are at the schools, except where indicated. Note: Kindergarten ceremonies are being held at several schools, but are not listed in this article.
