OWN fills vacancy on board; also names Terry Brunette new treasurer

Terry Brunette, a 33-year Westside resident, became the newest member of the Organization of Westside Neighbors (OWN) board of directors April 24.
His unanimous appointment by the board brings the group back to its full strength of nine members. He was also appointed to the treasurer's post.
The board vacancy had existed since Dave Hughes, who had also been treasurer, resigned in January.
Brunette will complete the remainder of Hughes' term for the seat designated as At-large 1, which goes through the end of 2009.
Brunette works for Pikes Peak Regional Building. His father had been a builder in the area. He has also served as treasurer for another area volunteer group.
OWN is the city-recognized advocacy group for the older Westside.
