Whittlers club offers 32nd annual show at Shrine Club May 16-17

       The Pikes Peak Whittlers will sponsor their 32nd annual Woodcarving and Woodworking Show and Competition the weekend of May 16-17 at the Colorado Springs Shrine Club, 6 S. 33rd St.
       The times will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
       According to a press release, “There will be 50 tables of displays, as well as sales of wood, patterns, tools, and carvings. Watch and learn as chips fly during carving demonstrations and a whittling contest.”
       Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and military, and free for any Scouts in uniform or children under 12 with an adult.
       The judge will be Debbe Edwards, an American Indian sculptor from Northeast Oklahoma who specializes in life-like animal creations.
