25 percent increase noted for 9Health Fair

About 25 percent more people than last year took advantage of free or low-cost screening services at the annual 9Health Fair April 22 at the Westside's Masonic Center.
The exact number of people receiving services was not available, but 380 had bloodwork done and this category typically represents about 90 percent of the total, according to Tonya Bruno, director of volunteers and community outreach for 9Health Fair.
The fair is intended to encourage people to get checked out for potentially critical health issues.
