Public forums for seniors start at PPACG
The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments' Area Agency on Aging will host the first in a series of free public forums on issues for the elderly Thursday, April 30
from 9 a.m. to noon.
The first forum will focus on senior housing. Speakers will include Gene Montoya, executive director, Housing Authority of the City of Colorado Springs; Jo Ann Gaston, executive director, Affordable Senior Housing Communities; Ralph Braden, president, El Paso County Home Builders Association; and Scott Bartlett, lead ombudsman, Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging.
The agency is in the PPACG building at 14 S. Chestnut St.
Future forums will deal with the issues of transportation, elder abuse and health care, a PPACG press release indicates.
