Colorado Avenue bridge maintenance to affect traffic
Maintenance work on the Colorado Avenue bridge is scheduled to reduce traffic to one lane each way between Walnut Street and Cascade Avenue starting
Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 a.m.
“Regular traffic flow should be restored by the following week,” a city press release states. “Drivers should expect some delays during this work and use alternate routes when possible.” Funded by the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (RTA), the maintenance will consist of shot-blasting (cleaning) the bridge's concrete deck and water- proofing it with a two part epoxy overlay including aggregate, the release states.
