Biz buzz: Adams converts; Artazia relocates

Adams Bank & Trust has just finished converting the Vista Bank location at 1310 Garden of the Gods Road into one of its three Colorado Springs financial centers.
“The name change will allow us to realize some additional economies of scale and larger loan limits; plus it gives our brand an identity in some key areas of the city,” said Everett Covington, Regional President in Colorado
Springs, who came to Adams Bank & Trust in the purchase of Vista Bank.
Adams Bank & Trust was founded in western Nebraska in 1916 and has been owned and operated by the Adams family for over four generations. Adams has 11 other locations in Colorado and Nebraska.
Artazia Gallery and Frames, a photo gallery and framing business, moved this month from the 2500 block of West Colorado Avenue to an 1880s-era Victorian house at 1801 W. Colorado. “I'm glad I got to keep my old phone number,” owner Don McCurdy said. “People are finding me, and I have framing up to here [indicating his neck], which is good.” The phone is (still) 477-0632.
Recently opened: Michael Janetis Goldsmith (handcrafted jewelry and gifts of art), at 2616 W. Colorado Ave., Suite 10. Phone is 520-9494.
A Touch of Class Photo Gallery & Coffee Shop, 2513 ˝ W. Colorado Ave., just added a snazzy new awning in front.
