Meet a Westsider:
insurance agent/caregiver/artist/bookstore owner’s wife.
What I like most about the Westside is... it’s close to the mountain and healing waters of Manitou.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to add a roller or ice skating rink. It’s great exercise the whole family can enjoy.
A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Running with Scissors,” I rented it after reading ALL of Austen Burroughs’ books.
I'd like to discover... the first 100 mpg car.
If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... David Gilmour, guitarist/lead singer for Pink Floyd.
The next time I travel, I’m going to... take all the scenic byways through Colorado.
My favorite childhood memory is... camping and eating outside around this area and in Kansas, where I’m from.
My favorite spring pastime is... hiking up the Incline and barbecuing outside.
Something good I’ve read is.. “I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies)” by Laurie Notaro. Every book by her is hilarious from cover to cover. True stories of her life. Lighthearted and witty, absurd and true.
My pet peeve is... left-lane drivers that don’t “keep right except to pass.”
If I didn’t have to work for a year I would... read everything I don’t have time to now, in my pajamas all day until I got bored, then drive across the country in an RV.
Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
