Bijou School's car show at Wasson this year

Dave Fisher, who put on a car show each of the last three years that the Bijou School was on the Westside, is organizing a similar event at the alternative high school's new location within the Roy J. Wasson Academic Campus, 2115 Afton Way.
The event, which grew to more than 61 cars in 2013, will be Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free, but people wanting to display a vehicle must pay a $15 fee.
For more information, call Fisher, the school's security officer, at 328-2050 or e- mail fished@d11.org.
The Bijou School was in what used to be the Whittier school building at 2904 W. Kiowa St. from 2009 to 2013.
I will be retiring from the school district at the end of this school year, Fisher said. I hope they will keep the car show going in the future.
