Meet a Westsider:
Terri Wilson

Profession/Occupation... Miscellaneous self-employment activities pertaining to property restoration.

What I like most about the Westside is... real trees, down-to-earth homes and people, enough good restaurants, closest part of town to majority of hiking and entrance to mountains via 24 West, and great potential for profit from property purchased years ago!

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... We could use some frozen custard over here! I would also very much appreciate a halt on building or other tearing up of any open space or other undeveloped land.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... Not a movie – but I am enjoying the “Food Network” TV program on Sunday nights, involving a competition for a new network cook.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... to give my chickens to a rancher out east. They all died in a short amount of time! I still miss them and their eggs almost 14 years later!

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... the God of Truth.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Moab for 4-wheeling, then hopefully, the West Coast in the fall.

My favorite childhood memory is... camping and fishing with my dad, four-wheeling in his Willys wagon on roads that are now closed to motorized vehicles.

My favorite spring pastime is... mountain biking and hiking – currently trying to complete the Colorado Trail – and kayaking as often as possible, mostly at Rampart Reservoir.

Something good I’ve read is.. Where do I begin! Accounts of through hikers on the Appalachian Trail, “Madame Guyon: an Autobiography,” all of scripture, the Westside Pioneer! (Not enough room or time.)

My pet peeve is... perfectly good land being dug up for profit for out-of-towners; scarring my street corners that were nice fields of trees and grass and deer napping.

If I won the lottery, I’d... take a world cruise, buy a Jeep Rubicon w/max climbing capability, and live even more simply than I already do.

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
