April 22 date for kindergarten registration at District 11 schools

Registration for preschool or kindergarten at District 11 schools for the 2016-17 school year is scheduled Friday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parents should bring proof of residence and their child's birth certificate and immunization record.
“If you can't make it this day, call your neighborhood school to make other arrangements,” the D-11 website states.
All District 11 schools offer free, full-day kindergarten.
If you're not sure what attendance area you're in, contact the school nearest you and inquire there. Such information can also be found on the website at http://d11.org/Enrollment/Pages/kindergarten.aspx.
District 11 is a “choice” district, so parents can enroll their children at schools outside their attendance area, as long as there is space and they are willing to provide transportation.
