Meet a Westsider:
Hannelore Berg

Profession/Occupation... I am a personal care provider. I help the elderly. I cook, clean and run errands.

What I like most about the Westside is... the historic buildings and stories about the old days.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... stop building and keep the open spaces.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... A comedy, “Wild Hogs.” Very funny. I saw it with my grandson.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... letting someone talk me into moving to Texas from here. I sure didn’t like the desert life and I missed the mountains, so I moved back to Colorado Springs.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Clint Eastwood. He is a good actor in the old Western movies.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Germany. I haven’t been home for 36 years..

My favorite childhood memory is... going with my friends roller-skating and camping in our backyard.

My favorite spring pastime is... walking my old dog through the neighborhood and the park.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Cobweb Corners,” by Mel McFarland in the Westside Pioneer. What he writes is very interesting and funny sometimes. I read it every week.

My pet peeve is... people who talk on the cell phone, and pay no attention to their driving.

If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off my house, give money to my kids and grandkids and the Humane Society and probably retire.

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
