Simpich presents ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’
The Simpich Showcase Theatre has begun a new run of its adaptation of John Bunyan's 17th century book, “The Pilgrim's Progress.”
The show will continue through June 2. The Simpich theater is at 2413 W. Colorado Ave.
Created by marionette artist David Simpich in 1998, the one-man show features Simpich as Bunyan. He uses 30 hand-carved marionettes in recounting the author's “fantastic dream of the journey of Christian, a sin-burdened every-man, from the City of Destruction to the Celestial Gate,” a press release states.
Shows are Wednesdays and Fridays through Sunday, with a 2:30 showtime each day, plus a second show Fridays at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $12 to $14.
For more information, call the theater office at 465-2492 or go to simpich.com.
