Mad Hatter Saturday features activities throughout OCC historic district April 8

Balloon-making was part of the activities in Bancroft Park on Mad Hatter Saturday in March 2016. The type of apparel shows that it was a chilly day. The Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) business group has moved up the third annual themed promotion to April 8 this year.

Back for a third year, Mad Hatter Saturday will include a variety of activities for the public throughout Old Colorado City Saturday, April 8.
The free, themed promotion is sponsored by the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) business group from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Included will be costumed characters, a scavenger hunt in Bancroft Park, ice sculptors at 26th and Colorado, a hat-making station, tea parties and interactive children's events, according to OCCA event organizer Pam Gressett.
There will also be a book sale at the Old Colorado City Library, 2418 W. Pikes Peak Ave.
