Meet a Westsider:
Pam Hilbert

Profession/Occupation... I am administrative assistant to Holmes Middle School Principal Brenda LaBrasse.

What I like most about the Westside is... running into people I’ve known all my life. I am a native Westsider. I was born and raised on the Westside. I attended Whittier and was part of the first class at both Holmes and Coronado when they opened.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to stop all the building on any available open space.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Click.” It was funny and made me realize I don’t need to rush through life.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... letting someone convince me to go on a roller coaster ride in Las Vegas.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Elvis Presley – his music is timeless.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Las Vegas to celebrate my youngest son, Tommy, turning 21.

My favorite childhood memory is... Every year, going to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb to watch my dad, Ted Foltz, race.

My favorite spring pastime is... walks in the evening, taking grandkids to the park and getting ready to plant all my flowers.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Wild Fire” by Nelson DeMille. The author has a great sense of humor. It’s a mystery, but it’s funny.

My pet peeve is... people who are so self-centered they can’t see beyond themselves.

If I won the lottery, I’d... make my four sons very happy and go on a wonderful trip with my girlfriends.

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
