Reflections: 11 Holmes, Coronado medalists

       Five Westside students won gold medals and a total of 11 medals in all went to Holmes and Coronado students at the recent 2007 Colorado PTA State Reflections competition.
       Coronado High's Kylie Wyse, one of the gold winners, was additionally honored with the Mary Lou Anderson Award, which is the equivalent of “best of show,” according to Coronado PTA President Nora Brown.
       All gold medalists will have their entries submitted to the National PTA Reflections competition, she added.
       In the Middle/Junior age division, from Holmes Middle School:
       Musical Composition - James Till, Gold; Miles Roth. Silver.
       Dance Choreography - Lauren Scott, Gold; Briana Quintana, Silver.
       Video Production - Taylor Kay, Silver.
       Visual Arts - Ashlyn Duffy, Silver.
       Literature - Deanna Griesan, Silver.
       In the Senior age division, from Coronado High: Dance Choreography - Kaylie Adams, Gold.
       Video Production - Kylie Wyse, Gold.
       Literature - Saraiya Ruano, Gold; Kristen Maier, Silver.
       The Reflections program was created by Mary Lou Anderson of Colorado Springs; it became a national program in 1969. The Colorado PTA honors one student each year with the Mary Lou Anderson Award for Outstanding Interpretation. The winner is personally selected by the Anderson family from all state finalists, across all competition age divisions and categories.
