No TSP Teen Job Fair at West Center this spring

The West Intergenerational Center will not host its sixth annual Teen Job Fair this spring.
“There was some turnover in staffing and it just didn't happen this year,” said Karina Strand of the Teen Self-Sufficiency Program (TSP). “Probably next year” it will be back, she added.
TSP, funded by government and private entities, had previously organized the event as part of its teen services. Past fairs had filled the West gym with up to 40 local employers, who would talk to youths in their teens and early 20s about full- or part-time job possibilities in the area.
An alternate possibility this year is the Department of Human Services' “Rock'n in the Rockies Career Fair,” iincluding Westside-based Goodwill and more than 45 employers in all, Tuesday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 1775 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.
