Glen Eyrie marks 100 years since Palmer died

       A program commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of William J. Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs, will be Friday, March 13 in the Carriage House at Glen Eyrie, Palmer's estate.
       Beginning at 10 a.m., the program is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested.
       Featured will be historians Len Froisland, Donald McGilchrist and Susan Fletcher, who will talk about “Palmer's remarkable life and his civic vision for Colorado Springs,” a press release states.
       Activities will include a tour of Glen Eyrie Castle at 10:45 a.m.
       Glen Eyrie, 3820 N. 30th St., has been home to the Navigators, a Christian spiritual organization, since 1953.
