Free tax preparation and e-filing available at center

       Free tax-preparation assistance is available at the Westside Community Center Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April 14.
       The program is geared for people who identify themselves as having “low to moderate income,” and has a “special emphasis on serving seniors,” a press release states.
       A cooperative effort between the IRS and the AARP Foundation, the assistance is being offered in the east building at the center, 1616 W. Bijou St.
       The service is provided by “IRS-certified volunteers,” and e-filing help is also available, a press release states.
