Letter: PPACG board member displeased with regional sustainability plan

I read with interest your recent Editor's Desk on the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) and the assertion that you will be hearing from other elected officials about the virtue of the regional sustainability plan. While I am an elected official, this e-mail is not an endorsement of the plan.
With the new City Council, Keith King, Andy Pico and I are now the Colorado Springs reps to the PPACG, with Joel Miller as an alternate. When the sustainability plan was brought forth to the PPACG members last summer, Andy, myself, and Joel (sitting in for Keith) voiced our opposition. Like you, we felt there were too many vague, unfunded and contradictory "goals" "recommended" by the document.
