The March-to-May edition of the Westside Pioneer is now available for free at the publication's 50-some news outlets.
Continuing the publishers' policy of offering a bimonthly print paper in addition to daily updates on the Pioneer website, the 16-page paper was printed March 2, with a press run of 12,000 copies.
The next issue will come out in early May.
The Pioneer distribution outlets are mostly on the Colorado Springs Westside, including King Soopers, Safeway, Albertson's and the Westside Community Center, plus some in Manitou and downtown.
Anyone who would like a print edition mailed to them can get it sent first-class anywhere in the U.S. for $3. To set up that service, call the Pioneer at 471-6776.
The Pioneer was founded in 2004 by the Jordan family of the Colorado Springs Westside, and they still put it out. "Please support our advertisers, who are mostly small local businesses, as they make our publication possible, said Editor/Publisher Kenyon Jordan.
Online, the Pioneer sends out an e-mail "blast" (usually once a week) to update readers who have signed up for that service. To get on that list, e-mail editor@westsidepioneer.com.
That is also the best e-mail for news tips or questions. For ad info, Assistant Publisher Therese Jordan is at ap@westsidepioneer.com.
