Star Days focuses on the weather March 7 at Space Foundation's Discovery Center

       The monthly “Star Days” Saturday, March 7 at the Space Foundation's Discovery Center is titled “Weather Wonders.”
       Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., activities will include two guest presentations by Channel 13 meteorologist Jason Laird.
       The Discovery Center is inside the Space Foundation, 4425 Arrowswest Drive off Garden of the Gods Road. The cost of admission is $10 for adults, with reduced prices for seniors, military, students and children.
       The Discovery Center website lists the following for Star Days March 7:
       - 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. - “Forecasting Our Weather" - Science On a Sphere presentations by Jason Laird.
       - Afternoon - weather presentations by Weather Flight personnel from Peterson Air Force Base.
       - All day - interactive activities - "Make-and-Take Your Own Weather Station,” “Make a Rainstick,” “Touch Clouds” (with the center's ultrasonic hydroponic fogger) and “Play with Lightning” (using the center's new Van de Graaff generator).
       On a regular basis, the center - including ongoing activities and exhibits - is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also included with admission is access to the Northrop Grumman Science Center and El Pomar Space Gallery.
