New Horizons jazz recital Feb. 28 An evening of jazz music will be presented Friday, Feb. 28 by the New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs.The band's third annual Jazz Recital will start at 7:30 p.m. at the First Evangelical Free Church, 820 N. 30th St. Admission consists of a “free- will offering” for the church. Led by Ed and Mary Nuccio and now in its 13th year, New Horizons organizes bands and jazz groups. Performers will include Dr. Tom Fowler leading the Kicks Jazz Band, trumpet soloist Tom Fellows, the Bold and Brassy Quintet led by Dr. David Martz; the Woodwind Quartet with Susan Lewis and friends, Euphonium Quartet, Brass Choir and a saxophone sextet. Following the recital, everyone is invited to attend an informal reception in the Fireside Room of the church.
