Doctoring fairy tales at Washington

While teacher Ann Yenne plays guitar and student chorus members (some of whom are shown at left) sing along, Megan Walker (far right) as “Mouse” and Cheyenne Breedlove as Millie the Receptionist act out a segment of “Mother Goose General Hospital” at Washington Elementary Feb. 15. The original play, written and directed by music teacher Carolyn Coker, featured students from the classes of teachers Betsy Buerk, Susan Sparks, Kay Farran, Beth Arrowsmith, Maria Gutierrez and Val Rudy. In the story, a steady stream of well-known fairy tale characters come to the hospital for help with a variety of ailments.
